Privacy Policy for Sagitta Chains
Last updated August 6, 2026 by Red Pill, Blue Pill Studios, LLC
The short version
Sagitta Chains does not collect your personal data. The game operates without user accounts, advertising, third-party analytics, or tracking mechanisms. Locally stored game data (scores, stats, settings, your Pro purchase, and device identifiers) remains on your device exclusively. One optional exception exists: enabling iCloud sync transmits your best scores through your personal Apple iCloud account, which the developers cannot access.
What the app stores (on your device only)
Sagitta Chains stores the following locally using standard device storage:
- Your best scores and highest level reached
- Lifetime play statistics (levels cleared, longest chain)
- Your settings (sound, haptics, theme, and similar preferences)
- Whether you own Pro
- A randomly generated device-only identifier for organizing local records
This information never leaves your device, and the developers cannot view it. Deleting the app removes this data, or you can clear it via the in-app Settings’ Reset Progress option.
iCloud sync (optional)
Enabling iCloud sync shares your best scores (high score, highest level, longest chain, most chains per level) across Apple devices through your personal iCloud account via Apple’s CloudKit. This data lives in your personal iCloud space; we cannot read it, and it is never sent to a server of ours. iCloud sync remains optional and controllable through in-app Settings. Apple’s privacy policy governs iCloud usage.
In-app purchases
All purchases are processed by Apple. The developers never receive payment card or billing information. The app only records whether you own Pro, stored on your device and linked to your Apple ID so it can be restored on your devices. No personal or financial data is collected through purchases.
What we do not collect
- No name, email, phone number, or contact information
- No precise or approximate location
- No advertising identifiers; no advertising
- No third-party analytics or tracking SDKs
- No payment or financial information
- No social, contacts, photos, microphone, or camera access
Checking for app updates
Starting in version 1.6.3, the app checks whether a newer version is available on the App Store. If there is one, a small marker appears on the Settings button and a note appears inside Settings. There are no popups and nothing to dismiss, and the app never blocks you from playing.
That check is a single request to Apple’s public App Store lookup service, made when you open the app. It sends only the app’s own identifier (com.redpillbluepillstudios.sagittaChains) so Apple’s service knows which app to report on. It sends no information about you or your device, stores nothing about the request beyond the version number it received, and involves no third party. If the check fails for any reason, the app simply carries on without it.
Rating and reviewing the app
Starting in version 1.7.0, the app can open the App Store so you can leave a review. It appears in two places: a “Rate this game” row on the Pro screen, and an occasional prompt on the home screen after you have played a number of games.
Tapping it simply opens the App Store app at this app’s review page. Nothing is sent anywhere, and the app is never told what you do next: Apple does not report back whether you wrote a review or what rating you gave, so the app cannot know and nothing in the game depends on it. Reviews are never rewarded — Apple’s guidelines prohibit that, and it would be impossible here in any case.
The only thing stored is a local count of games played since the prompt last appeared, so it does not ask again too soon, plus a flag once you have tapped through so it never asks again. Both stay on your device and are erased by Reset Progress.
Crash and performance diagnostics
The app includes no third-party crash-reporting tools. Apple may share aggregated, anonymized crash and performance diagnostics through App Store tools (Apple’s “Share With App Developers” setting), controlled by your device settings and governed by Apple’s privacy policy. These reports do not identify you.
Children’s privacy
Sagitta Chains does not collect personal information from anyone, including children. Since no personal data is collected or transmitted, the app does not knowingly gather information from children under 13 or equivalent regional ages.
Your choices
- Reset Progress (Settings) erases all locally stored game data
- iCloud Sync (Settings) can be toggled on or off; synced scores can be deleted anytime
- Deleting the app removes all locally stored game data
- Sound and haptics can be turned off in Settings
